Manchester United vs Celtic

After getting knocked out of the group stages last season in the UEFA Champions league, United will be looking to prove a point this time around. The UEFA Champions league groups stages begin today and Barcelona will be looking to win the it again and become the first club in more than a decade to do so after AC Milan. Manchester United last season didn’t even quality for UEFA cup and finished last in their group. To add to all these equations this is United’s first competitive match against the giants of Scotland.

Manchester United will welcome the likes of Scholes and Rooney to it’s starting line-up after not having any action since the first week of the premiership. Christiano Ronaldo is out facing a European ban from last year. Celtic will be without their influential player, Petrov after he made the switch to Aston Villa this season. They have good cover in the form of Gravesen, since he has now returned to UK after his unhappy stint in Spain with Real Madrid. Kieran Richardson or Park Ji-Sung will take the place of young Ronaldo in the starting line-up with the former being the favourite. Celtic’s striking force is not too weak with Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Kenny Miller in the forward line.

The last two predictions and the bets have been spot on from me, so hope you made some cash 😉 . This time i am going for Manchester United for an easy victory at Old Trafford. So United to win the match gets you odds of 1.33, the odds might not be attractive but there is a very slim chance that United would come out of this match without a win. Wayne Rooney to score after his long rest due to a suspension to score fetches you odds of 1.90.
