Arsenal’s trip to Russia wasn’t a very successful one, albeit due to bad refereeing because of which they had a perfectly good goal disallowed. Arsene Wenger has been talking about that goal since the last match day and that he was not at all impressed with the referee’s decision. Well, it’s all in the past now and Arsenal will be looking to get a good win over CSKA at the Emirates Stadium. The victory over Arsenal meant that it was the first every win over a English side in over 4 attempts. A Daniel Carvalho winner was the only difference between the two sides and it promises to be an exciting match in Lodon.
Arsenal have a few injury worries ahead of this clash with Hoyte and Adebayor being doubtful to face CSKA. Other players that are warming the Physio’s bench are Ljungberg, Eboue, Baptista, and Lauren. All these players are out for a minimum of 2 weeks. There is some good news too for Wenger, with Clichy, Senderos and Mathieu Flamini all making their returns in this match after a short lay off. For CSKA, the hopes again rest on the able shoulder of the midfielder Daniel Carvalho. Deividas Semberas and Yuri Zhirkov are the other key players who might make a difference in his match.
This is a revenge match for Arsenal and I believe they will come on top at the end of this game. I’d be optimistic and say that Arsenal might even win it by two clear goals. So an Asian Handicap on Arsenal (-1, -1.5) at 1.925 is a decent bet. Thierry Henry to score at 1.72 is a strong bet too, and looking at the striker’s form he looks certain to get atleat a goal. But the best bet in my opinion is Arsenal to keep a clean sheet at home at 1.80.
