After beating FC Copenhagen in the third round, Manchester City face yet another Danish team in the form of Aab Aalborg in the first leg of their round of 16 game at Eastlands on Thursday evening.
City beat Copenhagen 2-1 at Eastlands in the second leg after drawing the first leg 2-2 in Denmark. Welsh striker Craig Bellamy scored a brace in that game, but Mark Hughes will not be able to call upon his services as he is injured. Robinho is expected to make a return to the squad after sustaining an ankle injury against West Ham. Nigel de Jong is ineligible for City.

Aalborg are currently not leading the Danish SAS Superligaen, but Magnus Pehrsson’s side cannot be taken lightly. They edged Celtic out for the UEFA Cup spot in the Champions League, and then gave Deportivo La Coruna a footballing lesson in the third round as they ran out 6-1 winners on aggregate.
Kjetil Wæhler seems to be recovering fast from his groin strain. Aalborg have a plethora of attacking players- Anders Due, Thomas Enevoldsen and Luton Shelton. The Danish side have also shown the ability to exploit dead ball situations well.
