Bet on Blackburn vs Aston Villa with our recommended bookmakers after reading this Rovers vs Villa preview.

Blackburn are 14th in the table with 15 points going into this fixture. Rovers have not kept a clean sheet at Ewood Park in their last fourteen home games, so the odds for Villa scoring look quite good.

Villa took a 2-0 lead against Manchester United before squandering it and eventually drawing 2-2. However the performances of some of the young players would have delighted manager Gerard Houllier.

Villa signed former Arsenal legend Robert Pires on a free earlier this week and you can see the odds for Pires scoring against Blackburn at PaddyPower and 188Bet.

Benjani, Vince Grella, Steve Nzonzi , Keith Andrews and Martin Olsson are injured for Blackburn.

For Villa, Carlos Cuellar, Nigel Reo Coker, Emile Heskey, Fabian Delph and Steven Sidwell are the main players out injured.

Blackburn Rovers form-last five games- most recent first- Blackburn scorers in brackets-

Tottenham 4-2 Blackburn ( Ryan Nelsen, Gael Givet)
Newcastle 1-2 Blackburn ( Morten Gamst Pedersen, Jason Roberts)
Blackburn 2-1 Wigan Athletic (Morten Gamst Pedersen, Jason Roberts)
Blackburn 1-2 Chelsea ( Benjani)
Liverpool 2-1 Blackburn ( OG)

Morten Gamst Pedersen also had an excellent midweek outing for Norway against the Republic of Ireland in an international friendly.

Aston Villa form-last five games- most recent first- Aston Villa scorers in brackets-

Aston Villa 2-2 Man United ( Ashley Young, Marc Albrighton)
Aston Villa 3-2 Blackpool ( Stewart Downing, Nathan Delfuneso, James Collins)
Fulham 1-1 Aston Villa ( Marc Albrighton)
Aston Villa 0-0 Birmingham
Aston Villa 2-1 Burnley ( Emile Heskey, Stewart Downing)

Verdict:- Villa have managed only one away win in the league all season.

Blackburn will be keen to impress their new owners. Scoring goals has not exactly been easy for Rovers at home this season though.

Aston Villa have won four of thier last five trips to Ewood Park though.

Blackburn 2-1 Aston Villa ( Diouf, Kalinic/ Young)
