Blackburn did beat West Bromwich 2-0 last weekend to move into a comfortable mid table position but they had to taste defeat last weekend as they went down 3-1 to Aston Villa in the FA Cup.
Even worse for Rovers, new signing Roque Santa Cruz tweaked his groin against Villa and will be unavailable for the clash against Spurs. He joins Ryan Nelsen and Phil Jones in the treatment room. Brett Emerton is also unavailable as he has not returned from Asian Cup duty with Australia.

Tottenham meanwhile produced a poor defensive performance as they were thrashed 4-0 by Fulham in the FA Cup last weekend. Michael Dawson was sent off in the fixture and is suspended for the trip to Ewood Park as a result. Younes Kaboul and Ledley King are out, while William Gallas is doubtful. In such a scenario, coach Harry Redknapp may be forced to give Jonathan Woodgate a start.
Spurs are also with Gareth Bale, who is suffering from a back injury.
