The United States havent exactly been in the best form in the last year or so. In their last eight games, the United States have won only one game- against South Africa in November last year. There have been four draws and three losses, with the most recent one coming at the hands of Paraguay in March. Benny Felhaiber is injured for the United States, whose coach is expected to give all permissible 17 players a run out during the game.

Spain are in awesome form and will be keen to avenge the defeat that the Americans inflicted upon them in the last meeting between the two sides. The La Furia Roja side consists of seventeen players who were present in the nation’s triumph at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa last summer. Spain’s passing game will test the United States defence. Bradley has still not managed to have a settled back four. Steven Cherundolo is the only certainty in defence with the left back position a sore problem for Bradley. There are three contenders in the form of Jonathan Bornstein, Carlos Bocanegra and Eric Lichaj for the position.
