Venezuela have four points from two games, enough to take them into the quarter finals of the event regardless of what takes place in their fixture against Uruguay. A win against the Paraguayans will guarantee them first spot. A draw will give them atleast second spot, and possibly first depending on the result of the other game between Ecuador and Brazil.

Paraguay did the double over Venezuela when the two teams contested in World Cup 2010 qualifying. They came mighty close to upsetting Brazil in their final group game but Fred was on hand to deny La Albirroja all three points.
Paraguayan coach Gerardo Martino will have to be content with watching this game from the stands after receiving a ban for arguing with the officials in their previous fixture against Brazil.
Martino left out youngster Ivan Piris against Brazil and is expected to do the same against Venezuela, meaning that Antolin Alcaraz retains his place in defence.
