It is a battle of the top and bottom placed teams in Group E as Chelsea take on Belgian outfit Genk. Bet on Chelsea vs Genk at PaddyPower after reading our betting preview at Sportsbookie.com.
Chelsea drew 1-1 with Valencia on Match Day 2, with a late handball allowing Los Che to equalise from the spot. The Blues still lead the group with four points while Genk have a single point to show from two outings.
Ramires is Chelsea’s only major injury doubt and he may be replaced by Florent Malouda. The other contentious issue would be whether to include Fernando Torres, with the £50m hitman currently having to do with a spot on the bench following his three game ban.
Torres’ ban does not apply to Champions League games and coach Andre Villas-Boas may chose to give him an outing against the Belgian minnows, who themselves have not been in the best of form recently.
Genk have not won a game in the last month since their 6-2 win in the Cup over Deinze. Since then they have drawn 1-1 with Leuven and have suffered defeats to Bayer Leverkusen, Anderlecht and Lokeren.
Jose Nadson,Torben Joneleit, Jelle Vossen and Jeroen Simaeys are all sidelined through injury for Genk.
