Arsenal will look to break Marseille’s unbeaten run in Group F when the two sides clash at Stade Velodrome. Bet on Marseille vs Arsenal at PaddyPower after reading our betting preview at sportsbookie.com.
The French giants lead Group F with six points from two games. Arsenal are in second place with four, with Dortmund and Olympiakos coming third and fourth with one point and nil respectively.
Both Marseille and Arsenal have struggled to get going in their respective leagues this season. Marseille’s last win in all competitions was in the Champions League against Dortmund and since then they have drawn two successive games against Brest and Toulouse.
Arsenal managed to beat Sunderland 2-1 thanks to the efforts of skipper Robin Van Persie. The Dutch forward scored the fastest goal in this season’s Premier League to open the scoring and then netted a superb late free kick as the Gunners managed to just about get three points from their game against the Black Cats.
Sagna, Vermaelen, Wilshere and Diaby are all out for Arsenal and so is Kieran Gibbs. Aaron Ramsey has however travelled with the squad.
Mathieu Valbuena missed Marseille’s game against Toulouse but the diminutive creative medio should return for the clash against the Gunners.
