It’s that time of year again when the Premier League starts to take real shape over the busy and exciting Christmas period that can make or break a teams season and stan james predicts a number of surprises in store for us.
The Christmas fixtures effectively kick off this week, with clubs playing their first games of the 4 that they will play in the next 12 days its going to be a busy time for stan james betting.
It all kicks off tonight when Bolton travel down the road to Blackburn in the lancashire derby. But this is more than a lancashire derby with both teams languishing at the foot of the premiership and with both managers jobs hanging by a thread.
It will be a huge game for both sides and we could well see the losing manager lose his job as a result.
It’s also going to be really interesting at the top of the table! Chelsea’s next game is crucial as they travel to White Hart Lane on Thursday night to face Tottenham who are above them in the table. After throwing away two points at Wigan on Saturday their title hopes are all but over. And a defeat at Spurs will see them fall even further behind when it comes to qualifying for the Champions League next season.
Manchester City have been untouchable at home so far this season and they might just open their lead at the top of the table by Christmas day. I can see them putting a few goals past Stoke tomorrow night while Manchester United may find it difficult at Craven Cottage. Although Fulham haven’t been all that impressive so far in this campaign, they will make it hard for the Champions.
We are certainly in store for a festive treat of football that will produce some excellent games and surprise results that will shape the Premier League table for the start of 2012!
